Step by Step Guide - Removing standard doorbell and replacing with a camera doorbell

Most new camera door bells will not attach properly to homes where door bells are attached to a piece of trim.

You will need to attach your camera door bell through an existing light switch.

Remove the wall plate.

Drill bottom of box in order to fish wires.

Drill out door lock. Run door bell wire.

Fished wire from door lock to light switch.

Add door bell wire through existing door lock.

Reattach door lock plate.

Measure distance between wall and light switch. Then drill a hole for wiring.

Attach new door bell housing to your wire.

Start using your New Camera Doorbell.
